Naledies

Une naledie est une masse d’eau gelée sous la forme de cristaux de glace, causées par l’écoulement des eaux souterraines et de l’eau de surface devant le glacier en hiver. La taille des naledies dépend de la quantité d’eau migrant à travers la couverture de neige résiduelle. L’épaisseur des naledies augmente par absorption capillaire dans la couverture de neige (de quelques  centimètres  à plusieurs dizaines de centimètres).
