Alass er en depression, der findes i thermokarst terræn. Den er dannet på grund af optøning af tykt, isrig permafrost. Det er normalt stor (0,5 -100 km2) og temmelig overfladisk (5-20 m). Det forekommer hovedsageligt i Yakutia.
