Erosion is the group of processes whereby earthy or rock material is loosened or dissolved and removed from any part of the Earth’s surface. It includes the processes of weathering, solution, corrasion and transportation.

The landscape around us, can be impacted by erosion of e.g. the wind constantly flowing by and picking up very fine sand or the water flowing by, that is able to pick up larger fragments and transport them further away.
