Icefall
According to the World Glacier Inventory (WGI) by The National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) an icefall is a part of the longitudinal profile of the glacier that moves over a steep drop, faster than rest of the ice. As a result its surface is heavily crevassed.
