Stazione di Summit
La Summit Station è operativa dal 1988. È situata sul vertice della calotta glaciale della Groenlandia. È l’unica stazione di osservazione così in alto, ad alta latitudine, nell’entroterra, permanente nell’Artico.
Fornisce informazioni uniche sui processi climatici globali e sull’Artico e risponde a domande di scienze trasformative sul ruolo della calotta glaciale della Groenlandia nel sistema climatico globale.
