Mikroplast er biter av plast i alle fasonger og plastmaterialer, men bare de som er mindre enn fem millimeter lange (som er omtrent størrelsen på et sesamfrø). Mikroplast er svært skadelig for våre hav og alt vannlevende liv, og problemet er økende også på land.
