Rezerva de semințe este un depozit de material genetic creat de om și destinat pentru păstrarea diversității genetice în condiții controlate. Semințele sunt depozitate într-un mediu uscat și rece.
Principalele obiective ale rezervei de semințe sunt: asigurarea securității alimentare, adaptarea la schimbările climatice, protejarea biodiversității și asigurarea unei agriculturi durabile.
Una dintre cele mai renumite instituții de acest tip este Rezerva mondială de semințe din Svalbard.
