Civil twilight

In the morning, civil twilight occurs when the geometric center of the Sun is 6 degrees below the horizon and lasts until sunrise. In the evening- twilight starts with the sunset and ends when the Sun’s geometric center is 6 degrees below the horizon.

During civil twilight, only the brightest stars as well as the horizon and terrestrial objects can be seen, so usually there is no need for artificial lighting.
