Banco de Semillas
Un banco de semillas es un depósito de semillas curadas por el hombre, diseñado para preservar la diversidad genética bajo condiciones controladas. Las semillas se almacenan en condiciones frías y secas.
Los principales objetivos de un banco de semillas pueden ser: garantizar la seguridad alimentaria, adaptarse al cambio climático, salvaguardar la biodiversidad, proteger la seguridad nutricional, reducir la pobreza y asegurar una agricultura sostenible.
