Talus kegler

Talus er tåen af løs, dårligt sorteret materiale, som udvikler sig ved bunden af et meget stejlt fald i topografi, som f.eks. På basis af bjergklipper, vulkaner eller dale.

Når fjeldsider påvirkes af visse processer (fysisk og kemisk forvitring, erosion osv.), Der har tendens til at producere fritliggende blokke eller relativt sammenhængende berggrund, fører disse processer til udvikling af urer (løse og mindre partikler) eller taluskegler (større og ikke så løse som urer), som akkumuleres ned mod en dalbund. Talus kegler dannet af stenfald udviser normalt sortering i fine partikler øverst og grove partikler i bunden.
