En frøbeholder er en bestand af frø specielt forberedt til at opretholde genetisk mangfoldighed under kontrollerede forhold. Hovedformålet med bevarelsen af denne mangfoldighed er fødevaresikkerhed og tilpasning til klimaændringer. En af de mest kendte frøplanter i verden er frøhvelvet (Global Seed Vault in Svalbard).
