Esktramarginal dal

En ekstramarginal dal, også kendt som Urstromtal (fra tysk), er en bred, flad erosionsdal dannet ved en smeltevandsflods dybtgående erosion i et morænelandskab eller en hedeslette foran en gletsjer. Vandet som strømmer ud fra den smeltende iskappe (proglacial vand) og vandet som strømmer fra områder hvor iskappen har trukket sig tilbage (ekstra glacial vand) eroderer overfladen og akkumulerer materiale foran en gletsjer. I en terasserner i en ekstrasmarginal dal dannes klitter (dunes) (for eksempel i Warszawa-Berlin glacial valley, for tiden i Kampinos skogen, i floden Narew Valley).
