Summit Station har været i drift siden 1988. Det ligger på toppen af grønlandsisen. Det er den eneste højhøjde, høj breddegrad, indlands, året rundt observation station i Arktis.
Det giver enestående indsigt i arktiske og globale klimaprocesser og svarer transformative videnskabelige spørgsmål om det grønlandske isblads rolle i det globale klimasystem.
