Photoperiod
The amount of hours in a day where the environment is light; an interval in 24 hours cycle when living organisms are exposed to light, with regard to its effect on growth, development and behaviour.
The amount of light received, along with temperature, is one of external factors triggering migration of animals or plants’ phenophases.
