En frøbank er et lager av frø spesielt utarbeidet for å bevare genetisk mangfoldig under kontrollerte forhold. De viktigste formålene med å bevare dette mangfoldet er matsikkerhet og tilpasning til klimaendringer. En av de mest berømte frøbankene i verden er Frøbanken (Global Seed Vault).
