Growler

Este o bucată de gheață desprinsă din aisberguri sau ghețari (acest proces se numește „fragmentarea”).
Plutește pe apele deschise și poate constitui un pericol pentru navele mai mici.

Conform NOAA Ocean Service, Growler-ul este o bucată de gheață cu înălțimea peste nivelul mării mai mică de 1 m și lungimea mai mică de 5 m.
