MIMOSA
MIMOSA (din franceză: Modélisation Isentrope du Transport mezo-échelle de l’Ozon Stratosphérique par Advection) este un model advectiv de înaltă rezoluție de vorticitate potențială (PV). Acesta a fost elaborat de către Service d’Aéronomie în cadrul proiectului METRO, finanțat de UE (MEridional TRansport of Ozone in the lower stratosphere). Modelul MIMOSA urmărește mișcarea și dinamica maselor de aer în stratosferă, analizând volatilitatea acestora.
Masele de aer din stratosferă nu se amestecă cu masele de aer de deasupra și de dedesubtul acesteia. MIMOSA poate, deci, urmări variațiile acestor mase în ciclurile de mai multe zile.
