Явление, причиной которого является присутствие парниковых газов в атмосфере. Их воздействие заключается в том, что они предотвращают уход инфракрасного излучения с Земли, поглощая его и выпуская обратно в атмосферу. В результате этого процесса температура на поверхности нашей планеты увеличивается.
Парниковый эффект является одной из основных причин глобального потепления.
