Bioleaching
“Bioleaching” er et forberedende skridt til at udvinde værdifulde metaller baseret på at katalysere oxidationen af sulfidmineraler. “Bioleaching” involverer abiotiske og biotiske reaktioner, ofte med forskellige krav.
På nuværende tidspunkt anvendes “bioleaching” hovedsageligt til genopretning af kobber, uran og guld.
“Bioleaching” mikrober indbefatter T. ferrooxidans, T. thiooxidans og L. ferroo.
