Parasitisme

Parasitisme opstår, når en organisme lever af en anden organisme, der ikke får nogen fordele. Parasitten kan stjæle den andenes ressourcer (for eksempel deres oplagrede mad) eller direkte fodre selve organismen (for eksempel deres hår eller blod). Parasitten behøver ikke at forblive fysisk tæt på den anden organisme.

En særlig form for parasitisme udføres af gøglen. Det tricks andre fuglearter i at gøre alt arbejdet med at hæve gøgens egen afkom.
