En af to typer af polar klima, hvor mindst en måneds gennemsnitstemperatur ligger over frysepunktet. Det findes hovedsagelig langs kysten af det arktiske hav. Den er kendetegnet ved underfrysning af gennemsnitlige årlige temperaturer, store årlige temperaturområder og moderat lav nedbør.
