Crioturbación

La crioturbación es un proceso importante en la capa activa del permafrost, en el que los lechos y lentes de los sedimentos no consolidados se pliegan, rompen y dislocan debido a la constante descongelación y congelación.

Los materiales de diferentes colores doblados de diferentes maneras producen patrones distintivos visibles en la sección transversal.
