Gyting
Gyting er formering og befruktning som skjer utenfor dyrekroppen, og er mest vanlig hos dyr som lever i vann.
Gyting skjer da ved at hunnen slipper sine egg i vannmassene, og at en hann tilsvarende slipper sine spermier, som oftest samtidig og i nærheten av hunnens egg.
Typiske arter som gyter er fisk og amfibier, mens de fleste pattedyr og insekter har indre befruktning.
