Saueskrottberg (geologi)

Et saueskrottberg (fra fransk Roche moutonnée) er en markant bergformasjon i et ellers mer flatt landskap, og det er formet av isbre-bevegelser. Det oppstår når isbreen glir over punkter av hardere berggrunn, som ikke slipes like mye. Det kjennetegnes ved en slakk og glatt overside i samme retning som isbreen beveget seg, og at det ender i en bratt og steinete skråning pga. erosjon. Hvis berget er stort og mangler den bratte skråningen kalles det i stedet et hvalskrottberg.
