Tsunamivarsel
Et tsunamivarsel er bygget opp av to viktige infrastrukturer: et system av sensorer for å oppdage tsunamiene så tidlig som mulig ute i havet, og et system for å advare befolkningen langs kysten så raskt som mulig.
Det finnes 4 internasjonale tsunamivarselsystemer for verdenshavene: ett for Stillehavet, et for Det indiske hav, et for Karibien og et felles for Det nordøstlige Atlanterhavet, Middelhavet og tilgrensende sjøer.
