Водяное небо – это темные полоса на нижней поверхности низких облаков, что указывает на наличие открытой воды вблизи морского льда (под облаками). Солнечный свет отражается от моря и льда. Размытое, нейтральное небо на горизонте является результатом отражения цвета моря в облаках. Это полезно при работе на море – облегчает навигацию в полярных регионах.
