AMUPS – Adam Mickiewicz Universitet Polar Station

Polsk forskningsenhed i Arktis, der opererer i løbet af sommeren. Det ligger i Petunia Bay (Petuniabukta) i Billefjords nordlige kyst i centrum af Spitsbergen – den største ø på Svalbard, norske øhav.

Den første ekspedition af Adam Mickiewicz-universitetet i Poznań til Spitsbergen fandt sted i 1984. I løbet af sommer sæsonerne frem til 2009, lå stationen i Skottehytta – en gammel pelsjægers hus. I juli 2011 byggede Adam Mickiewicz University sin egen base, bestående af to bygninger med et areal på 10 m2 hver. I sommeren 2015 blev stationen flyttet til vestkysten af Petunia Bay.

Stationen gennemfører primært forskning inden for geomorfologi, glaciologi, hydrologi, geokemi og meteorologi.
