Meðal Sama er „Kams“ eða hlaupkennd hreindýrablóð álitið herramannsmatur og nota þeir það mikið í matargerð sína. Blóðinu er bætt út í til dæmis hreindýra og kjötsúpur til að gefa meira bragð. Einnig er það notað til að gera hinu ýmsu rétti og meðal annars gera þeir pönnukökur úr hreindýrablóðinu.
