Delfiner er marine pattedyr, og en egen familie av hvaler. Artene vi ser oftest i norske farvann er kvitnos (Lagenorhynchus albirostris), og ikke minst spekkhogger, som mange ikke er klar over at er en delfin. Delfiner kan nå en størrelse på opptil 3 m lange og 350 kg tunge. Fôringsvanene er forskjellige; men mange arter spiser mye lodde og sild.
