Lisciviazione biologica

La lisciviazione biologica è una fase preparatoria al recupero di metalli preziosi, basata sulla catalizzazione dell’ossidazione dei minerali di solfuro. La lisciviazione biologica comporta reazioni abiotiche e biotiche, spesso con esigenze diverse.

Attualmente viene utilizzato essenzialmente per il recupero di rame, uranio e oro.

I microbi utilizzati includono T. ferroossidani, T. thiooxidans e L. ferrooxidans.
