Ocean current
An ocean current is a continuous, directed movement of seawater. Currents are on the ocean surface and in its depths, flowing both locally and globally.
Ocean currents are generated from the forces acting upon the water such as Earth’s rotation, the wind, the temperature and salinity differences, and the gravitation of the moon.
The currents are very important in determining the climates of the continents (especially those regions bordering the ocean) and ecosystems.
