Biodilution
Biodilution është ulja e përqendrimit të një substance (sidomos ndotësit, si metalet e rënda) me një rritje në nivelin trofik në zinxhirin ushqimor. Ky fenomen shihet kryesisht në mjediset ujore eutrofike (të pasura me shumë lëndë ushqyese dhe shumë produktive). Për shembull, gjatë lulëzimit të algave, rritja e algave redukton përqendrimin e ndotësve si pasojë e biomasës së tyre më të madhe.
