Lazarus lífvera er lífvera sem birtist aftur eftir að hafa verið talin útdauð, oft merkt sem slík á steingervingaskrá.
Til dæmis: fiskur sem kallast Latimeria og var talinn útdauður fyrir um 70-80 milljónum ára fannst aftur fyrir tilviljun þegar hann var veiddur árið 1938.
