Buryat-folk

Buryat-folk er urfolk som bor i den autonome republikken Buryatia i “fjerne-østen” delene av russiske Sibir. Hovedstaden i Buryatia er Ulan-Ude. Buryatia er en av de største sentrene for buddhismen i Russland. Buryatenes matkultur er kjent og betraktet som en av de beste over store deler av Sibir. Ifølge den russiske folketellingen bodde det 984 511 buryat-folk på russisk territorium i 2018.
